“You are stronger than you think!” – this was the motto of the first session in our series of online Zoom meetups, led by our Development Manager and Coach, Iryna Lutsenko.

Together with our teenagers, we took a look “under the hood” of the human psyche to understand how war and stress affect us.
The key insight of the meeting: anxiety, sudden tears, or insomnia are not a “breakdown” but a normal reaction of the body to abnormal events.
What did we do?
We used the “Emotional Barometer” exercise. The teens learned to notice their states before they became uncontrollable. This is the first step toward regaining peace: naming the emotion, accepting it, and knowing that it will pass.
We aren’t looking for problems – we are looking for the inner strength that helps everyone move forward.
